The Impossibility of Creating While Conforming
There are two kinds of people in the world; the ones who think that things are "just the way they are" and the ones who create reality. The reality we see around us -- the cars, the streets, the buildings, the houses, the companies, the schools, the governments -- all of it is purely a manifestation of thought. All of us have the power to think and, as a result, we create.
I might say it differently: there are two kinds of people in the world; ones who are unaware that they are creating reality (and, rather, believe they exist within it) and those who are aware that they are creating reality. All of the good ideas have come from those who are aware. Because they know that their thoughts and ideas are creating reality, they passionately nurture the best thoughts and follow the best ideas. These are the ones among us who we can thank for everything wonderful and beautiful that has become part of our lives.
The unaware, those who mistakenly see things as "just the way things are", they are creating as well but they are doing so without any intention. They are following some archetype of how they think things should be done, but even this is misunderstood. They are constantly trying to imagine what someone else would do, or what someone else might think of what they do. All of the negative stuff around us -- the governments that do not serve people, the companies that fail customers, the schools who fail to teach and inspire -- these are the products of people who are unaware that they are creators of reality.
Understand the power you have. Your thoughts and your ideas create reality for the simple reason that you act on those thoughts. Every action or reaction is a manifestation of reality. May we all learn to respect this power and nurture thoughts and ideas which open the door to the future we truly want.
